MTV Concepts is one of the most innovative automakers in the United States. Its founder, Mr. Mike Vetter, is a soul figure and every supercar named after him is groundbreaking. The supercar introduced below is called: Vetter Slash, and its shape looks more like a futuristic extreme racing car than a modern muscle car.
Under the stiff, sloping hood is a GM LS3 V8 with 455 horsepower. Of course, buyers can request any powertrain. The Slash's chassis comes from a Corvette, with a full fiberglass body and a removable hardtop. The body design is as angular as we've come to expect from all supercars, with compound creases and sharp edges everywhere. The front fenders feature wide-angled wheel arches, which then merge into blade-like headlight clusters.
The Slash's ride height can be raised or lowered, thanks to adjustable shock absorbers. At the same time, it is matched with 20-inch wheels and adopts rear-wheel drive. Built into the rear of the Slash is a perfectly unified badge that lights up at the flick of a switch, the quality and craftsmanship is second to none.
Although the chassis comes from Corvette, any design inspiration of Slash is not like that of Corvette, and even the windshield has been shortened to reflect its own unique design thinking. Mr. Mike Vetter's mission is to help others see their dream cars become a reality.
One last design highlight is the way the Slash opens the door, which is not only Lamborghini-esque in how it opens. But that's not the most special thing about them, surprisingly, they are rear-hinged. Many scissor doors open upward, and some are rear-hinged, but we've yet to see one that does both.
