Nissan GT-R Has Been Redesigned Again. How Long Can R35 Be Sold?

Jan 03, 2024

The R35 GT-R has been on sale for a long time, but Nissan continues to improve it. At this year's Tokyo Auto Salon, Nissan unveiled the 2024 GT-R for the Japanese market. The exterior and suspension have been updated, and two new special editions have been introduced to give this old and solid sports car a little more leg up.

As for the exterior, it's hard to tell where it's changed unless you look at the front. The redesigned grille and fascia give the GT-R some tougher lines and symmetry. Nissan also says that aerodynamics have been improved. Chassis improvements provide a more comfortable ride while reducing noise and vibration.

While it sounds like the GT-R is getting more comfortable in its later years, Nissan assures us that the twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 is as powerful as ever. The regular version still makes 562 horsepower, except for the Nismo, which stabilizes at 591 horsepower.

The 2024 GT-R will hit Japanese stores this spring, and the new Nismo version will be available in the summer. Last year, the GT-R was delisted in Europe due to emissions regulations.
