When McLaren introduced the 720S, the Brits shocked the supercar world with its aerodynamic styling. While the aerodynamic front face and headlights were striking, the side deflector elements were hidden inside the doors as a sign that the designers had exercised restraint in places.
The German aftermarket tuner has released a widebody conversion kit for the McLaren 720S that brings the supercar's appearance closer to its track-savvy sibling, the Senna.
Then again, the Novitec 720S N-Largo also has some areas that look wilder than the Senna, such as the roof, which can now accommodate an air scoop.
In fact, most of the areas of this supercar have been modified, from the front apron and front wing (note the air extractor), to the side skirts, rear wing (where you can find the huge air intake), rear apron and active rear spoiler.
We've only listed the most important parts here, and there's an explosion of carbon fiber all over the car, with certain parts featuring a transparent finish to bring attention to this amazing material.
Due to the increased width of this beast, Novitec has also modified the 720 hp toy with proper wheels, which have a concave profile (the rear axle has to be deeply concave). The wheels feature aluminum spacers that raise the front and rear tracks by 22 and 30 mm, respectively.
The German tuner has previously released an ECU remap for the supercar's twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, as well as an Inconel exhaust system. In doing so, the motor delivers an additional 86 horsepower, which means that its total output of 806 hp sits just above the Senna (800 hp).
Whereas the original McLaren 720S is known as the supercar that hasn't lost a drag race, the Novitec version is 0.2 seconds quicker at 62 mph, while the 0 to 124 mph sprint takes 7.5 seconds and has a top speed of 215 mph.
